Our Active Living Programs consist of 5 group programs. To participate an individual must be an adult or teen with a disability and have a current People In Motion annual membership. All activities are supported by staff, volunteers and in some cases transportation.


Adult Social Club:
Social Club Our Adult Social Club members plan their own activity schedule and meet 3 times monthly during most of the year and 4 times monthly during the summer months. They participate in a wide variety of outings of a seasonal or year round nature. You may find them out enjoying a meal together or a hockey game, watching movies, attending a community event, out at a pub night, playing pool or bowling, taking a drive, going camping, or some other fun activity. Transportation is provided; the program cost is $12.50 per month (with some additional fees or costs depending on the activity).

Tuesday Night Fitness Club:
PALS    Tuesday Night Fitness Club is a weekly fitness program that features fitness and sport activities as well as cooperative games at Arthur Hatton Elementary School gym from 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Tuesdays. Transportation is provided; the program cost is $12.50 per month. This program is funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development, Community Living Services for Adults.

Bowling:
Bowling    Our Bowling group plays Monday afternoons at Bowlertime Bowling Centre from approximately 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Adapted equipment is available for those who need it. Members arrange their own transportation and pay their game fees. 

Cards:
Cards The Cards Group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at People In Motion. Members arrange their own transportation; there is no cost to participate.

Youth Club:
  Youth Club is for teens (13 - 18) with disabilities looking to hang out with other teens and have some fun. They participate in a wide variety of outings and activities 4 times a month - much like the Social Club for adults. Some of the activities have included: playing floor hockey, games night, fear factor, hockey game, playing computer games on-line, swimming and movies. Transportation is provided; the Youth Club is funded by Variety - The Children's Charity.
